I'm Jesse, the owner of J.Thomson Designs. I have always had a passion for woodworking and renovations—so naturally opening my own business to service my community was the path for me.
I get excited for each and every job and I love to see my clients homes turn into the space they have always dreamed of.
Where ideas meet craftsmanship
I was born and raised in Guelph, ON and have always considered it home. Growing up my dad was always very handy and there was usually a project on the go around the house. That was the only excuse I needed to grab some tools and see how I could help.
In high school you could always find me in a shop class. That is where my passion for woodworking began. From the drawing and planning phase of the shop projects—to the execution of building them—I could tell this was something that I wouldn't let go of very easily.
I continued my education into College where I completed the Renovation Technician program at Conestoga, graduating with distinction. I learned valuable skills while attending this program which gave me the confidence and the know-how to begin my career. Once out of college, I worked for a high-end custom home builder for 10+ years, starting out as a labourer and moving my way up to a project manager.
My experience through schooling and on the job sites has lead me to where I am today. As the owner of J.Thomson Designs, I am dedicated to bringing my clients vision to life with a commitment to tasteful designs and quality craftsmanship.
